Well, here I go again. Another year dawns and I’m embarking on a fresh set of 100 photos. As in past years many will be from my archive of past images but I will include the best of my new stuff as well. So settle in and enjoy the ride to 100!
I captured this little darling at the 2016 Lowell Winterfest.
My first rock concert – Boston at Wing’s Stadium in Kalamazoo (yes folks, there really is a Kalamazoo). I borrowed the ‘big lens’ (135mm) from the school and then wormed my way down to the floor in front of the band.
This was my first ‘arena’ show. General Admission to the floor of a hockey stadium and I managed to get front-ish. A then rather young and unknown guitarist named Sammy Hagar opened for Boston. I think my ears are still ringing from that show.
This was shot on HP-5 film ‘pushed’ to 3200 ASA, an astronomical number at that time.
