We spent a wonderful weekend with friends celebrating a 60th birthday (not mine). We stayed in a literal castle on 600 acres in southern New Hampshire. It was an amazing place. I’m sure I’ll be posting more from this weekend’s adventure.

At the MGM Grand in Las Vegas they have a large enclosure where they have a few lions. Apparently they have a large ranch outside of town where they keep the animals most of the time but they rotate a few in every few days. I had to get rather lucky to catch this one in a spot where there was no reflections or scratches on the plexiglass of the enclosure.

This shot is from “The Best Camera Is The One You Have With You’ department. It was captured by my Nexus S phone. With a little tweaking in Lightroom this is a quite reasonable image.
