Shot this last night at the opening show of the 2014 Lowell Summer Music Series. Apologies for the low quality image but ‘Pro Cameras’ were forbidden during the show so I had to fall back to my trusty Canon SX 230 HS ‘point & shoot’. I was a fair distance away from the stage; I’m surprised that I got anything usable at all.
This is my grandfather. He was a cop in Springfield, MA. I’m guessing on the date based on his apparent age. I didn’t crop as tightly as I normally would so as to include the surrounding neighborhood for context. This was scanned from a 2×3 in. photo.
Not sure where in Spain I was when I shot this. It’s a shame it’s missing that tiny ‘knob’ just to the right of the knocker – it really ruins the balance. 😉
When I was in High School my father owned a stump grinding machine. I spent many an hour with him maintaining and running it. It was dirty, dusty, dangerous work and I loved it because I was with my Dad.
