Work is progressing on FrameAlbum. I was ‘distracted’ over the weekend by a family reunion but I’m back at it now with renewed vigor!
- The website login and registration functions are almost complete.
- Initial testing of the RSS feeds (redirected via DNS from rss.framechannel.com continues. Discovered some interesting tidbits.
- Begun collecting data on the various digital frames supported by FrameChannel. This is necessary to correctly format the images delivered to the various screen sizes.
On that last point I need a bit of help. I need a list of manufacturers and model numbers of the frames that folks would like to see supported. Please contact me directly or post a comment below. I’ll add those to the the list for initial support.
I have a Kodak W820.
I have a Kodak W1020. I know there are people keeping an eye on the project who have a Kodak W820 as well.
@Fishtick, @Rowan: Thanks for sharing. I have a W820 so the Kodak frames are first on the list. 😉
I’m also aware of D-Link’s DSM-210. Anyone else?

@Ken: That’s a nice one! Custom RSS feeds are supported and they have an SDK (Software Development Kit) – sweet.
i haven’t figured out how it supports custom RSS feeds yet. it has fliker ,picasa ,gmail, and framechannel.
I never tried to reload the old frameit software.

I have 3 D-Link DSM-210 units across my family. PLEASE support this model….
Please?
I have a Toshiba 8″ Wireless Digital Media Frame and a Toshiba 10″ Wireless Digital Media Frame at home, and a Kodak W820 at work (where I use the Kodak software – not sure it does FC).
@Ingo: Do you happen to know the model numbers of your Toshiba frames? Are they DMF102XKU/DMF82XKU?
Thanks.
I have a Parrot grande_specchio (800 x 600)
it accepts rss, picasa and flickr feeds
Toshiba DMF102XKU
Brightsign HD210 (This is a digital signage player unit manufactured by Roku.)
@cmtm: That is a beautiful frame! It also appears to be based on open-source technology AND they are publishing the packages they used to build the frame — well done!
@Michael: That’s a new one. I’ll have to dig around for the details on it. Thanks for the info.
Ziga DF800W
Support for Dlink DIR-685 Router would be great but probably not that urgent as it still functions as a router, you just can’t get any feeds on the screen any more.
@Rick: Thanks, that’s a new one for the list.
@dr_nick_uk: Might you happen to know the resolution of the screen on DIR-685? It does not seem to be listed on the D-Link site. Thanks.
My frame is the D-Link DIR-685.
Please include the Motorola LS1000Wb. 1024×768 and relies mainly on FrameChannel.
Thanks a lot for the effort.
@zoltee: Will do — thanks for the info. Do you happen to know if this frame supports custom RSS feed URLs or is it limited to the FrameChannel feed?
Hi,
I use the Motorola LS1000W. I hope you can make it work again because i don’t think Motorola will make a firmware update 🙁
I have two of the Toshiba DMF102XKU frames. The FC URL they use is:
http://rss.framechannel.com/productId=TODM
F102X/frameId=00:25:D3:25:1B:21:00/firmware=2.05/channelList=true
Hi,
Philips 8FF3WMI
is waiting to participate on the beta program.
